Self-Help Guides: Free Download Booklets

Self Help Information Brochure Image

You, or someone you know, may be struggling with mental health issues but don’t have direct access to therapy or key information which could be of help.  This can be for a variety of reasons from isolation to fear of stigma or simply not knowing which way to turn for help.

To fill this gap, 3Ts have produced a series of self-help booklets across a range of topics that will serve as a ‘first step’ towards recovery. These booklets are written by clinical psychologists and will provide the reader with key cognitive behavioural techniques to help manage common mental health problems. Studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of high quality self-help materials in the treatment of mild to moderate psychological problems.

We’ve made the booklets accessible, easy to use and short (20-30 pages).  They are available to download here.

Topics include:

NB: If you are interested in Self Help for Eating Disorders, we recommend you visit www.Bodywhys.ie, Ireland’s Eating Disorder Association, for a full range of information, downloadable resources and support contact details.

Useful Contacts – Relevant Organisations
Each booklet also contains a comprehensive list of contact details for Irish mental health organisations & sources for further specialised help.

Talk to your GP
3Ts are advocates of self-help and self-management of mental health.  However, if you think that you may be suffering from an enduring mental health complaint, your GP is the best person to talk to in the first instance.
