3ts Golf Tournament 2013

This is the 11th year of the popular 3Ts Golf Tournament.   Full entry & information packs have been sent to Club Secretary Managers during February with entry now open to all GUI clubs.

Entrants have the opportunity to play some fantastic clubs with lucky qualifying teams playing the Tournament Final at the K Club.  Tournament winners proceed to  Spain to play the international final in the Autumn.

All for an entry fee of €10!

3Ts Golf  Tournament is an awareness campaign to highlight the issue of suicide in Ireland at grassroots level.  Competition entry details are circulated to secretary / managers of all GUI clubs early in the year. Closing date is  is Wednesday, 31st July 2013,  but clubs now have ample time  to get their club competitions for mens and ladies up on the club calendar and played in time for the regional rounds which take place early Autumn.

Format is stableford, full handicaps, two scores to count, with a 4-person team comprising:

      • Mens Captain (automatic choice 2013 – alternates annually between Lady Captain & Mens Captain);
      • Club Professional: (if there is one);
      • Winner of Ladies 3Ts Club Competition;
      • Winner of Men’s 3Ts Club Competition;

 

The competition can be run in conjunction with any club competition or can be a separate event.   Entrants must be over 18 years of age.

Each club team entered proceeds to provincial finals with green fees & a meal provided:

      • Thursday, 5 September 2013: St Margaret’s Golf & Country Club Dublin
      • Tuesday, 10 September 2013: Dundrum House Golf & Country Club Tipperary
      • Wednesday, 25 September 2013: Slieve Russell Golf & Country Club Cavan

Qualifying teams from each regional round proceed to the K Club for the National Final.  The National winners then travel to Spain in early Winter.
