Standards in Fundraising Practice

Commitment to Standards in Fundraising Practice

The 3Ts (Turn the Tide of Suicide) is fully committed to achieving the standards contained within the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising  and has met all the requirements to sign up to the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising.

We are registered members of the Charities Institute Ireland (CII) and adhere to the Guiding Principles for Fundraising.  CII was founded in 2015, bringing together ICTR and Fundraising Ireland, and promotes a Triple Lock standard for charities. The three measures of these standards are good governance, best practice fundraising and transparent financial reporting. CII develop, guide and support us as members through objectives outlined in 3 strategic pillars – Advocacy, Education and Communication.

The Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising exists to:

  • Improve fundraising practice;
  • Promote high levels of accountability & transparency by organisations fundraising from the public;
  • Provide clarity & assurances to donors & prospective donors about the organisations they support.

We, the 3Ts, have considered the Statement and believe we meet the standards it sets out.

The 3Ts report on our fundraising activities is available in our most recent Financial Statements. It is the intention of the charity that future Financial Statements will reflect our commitment to Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising and our compliance with same.

We welcome your feedback on our performance via any of the contact points provided (see below).
